Walgett, 2832

The Homelessness & Housing Support service - Walgett helps people aged 16 and over, and children with an adult, to exit or prevent homelessness. Early intervention and prevention services are delivered via outreach where tenancies are at risk or inappropriate (e.g. overcrowded housing). Supported crisis and transitional accommodation is available to help people transition into stable housing (including supporting Safe Houses Walgett). Immediate interventions and support is available to people experiencing domestic and family violence so that they may either remain in the family home or be safely rehoused, and post-crisis support can help people to resolve any issues which caused their homelessness so that future episodes can be prevented.
