The Far West Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) works with vulnerable young people aged 12-15 who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, in the Broken Hill LGA. The service provides culturally respectful and responsive support to either prevent young people from becoming homeless, or respond rapidly before homelessness becomes entrenched.

Who we assist

Far West HYAP (Homeless Youth Assistance Program) – Supports young people aged 12 to 15 who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless in the Broken Hill LGA.
Aboriginal youth are a key target group of this service.

Young people aged 12-15 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness

Referral process

Referrals are accepted from Government, Non-Government Agencies and self referral
