Medicare Mental Health Centre is located at Unit 1-4, 235-241 Baylis Street Wagga Wagga. Our Family Support Workers are highly skilled individuals who will support you in overcoming the challenges of parenting while mentally unwell. We also offer a wide range of parenting education courses that are held during the school terms.
Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a welcoming entry point for adults (and their support people) experiencing distress, crisis, or mental health challenges to access a range of support services. All components of Medicare Mental Health Centres have a common aim – to help more Australians experiencing mental health challenges be heard, find a path forward and access services that are right for them.

Who we assist

Medicare Mental Health Centres provide free mental health services for adults, offering a safe and welcoming environment. Services are delivered by multidisciplinary care teams and are accessible without the need for a prior appointment or GP referral. You do not need a Medicare card to access these services.
Mission Australia's role in the Medicare Mental Health Centre is to support parents to develop the skills they need to raise safe and happy children.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for support from MMHC - Family Support Workers you must attend an intake assessment at MMHC and have care of at least one child under the age of 18
