The Priority Project - Western Sydney

Homelessness

Kingswood, 2747

The Priority Project (TPP) involves the prioritization of private rentals to provide safe, accessible, appropriate and secure housing for women (and their children) who have experienced intimate partner violence in Western Sydney. The program is a pilot.
Mission Australia will work with the SHS sector's support workers who will provide assistance to women who need a private rental. This will involve working with real-estate property managers to secure a home and then provide ongoing help as they transition to a new
home. Landlords are asked to prioritise rentals to women who need a hand.

This program does not involve head leasing, but provides extra support to tenants who sign a Tenancy Agreement independently.
