Thanks for helping people access life-saving services
When his mental health began to spiral, Roshan (45), made the difficult decision to leave his job and focus on his well-being. This meant a loss of routine, financial stability and a sense of purpose. At the lowest point, Roshan was admitted to hospital after multiple attempts on his life. But after connecting to a Mission Australia caseworker, everything changed for the better.

Changing Heather’s future for the better
Growing up, Heather (17) often turned to substances to cope with severe depression. When her reliance grew beyond her control, Heather knew she needed help to change. Thanks for providing spaces for people to find purpose
When Connor (35), a former mechanic, was restricted to a wheelchair, it felt like his world was shrinking. Thanks to supporters like you, the community garden at the Mission Australia Centre in Coffs Harbour became a therapeutic outlet for Connor to connect with others, regain a sense of purpose and thrive.
Celebrating 15 years of Mission Australia Housing
Since 1859, Mission Australia has stood alongside people in need across Australia, delivering homelessness crisis and prevention services. Mission Australia established Mission Australia Housing in 2008 and this year, we celebrate 15 years of Mission Australia Housing’s efforts in the community to provide people with a safe place to call home.
Take a look at the journey so far:

On 1 April, 2009, Mission Australia took on it's first property: Fairfax House, in Western Sydney. Our portfolio grew to almost 100 properties, taking on 14 homes in Chigwell, Tasmania, and 66 Homes in Seddon, Victoria.

Mission Australia Housing grew to almost 2,000 homes across New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

By mid-2023, our housing portfolio had grown to 3,876 properties, providing homes for almost 7,000 people.

The first new 259 social and 130 affordable homes were completed, and the first residents moved into Midtown Macquarie Park in Sydney. This year has also seen the NT State Government transfer management of 251 social homes in Darwin.
