This is Mission Australia’s fifth biennial youth homelessness report. The report explores 2023 Youth Survey data to understand key areas of disparity between young people with experience of homelessness compared to those who have stable housing and presents policy recommendations to end youth homelessness in Australia.
This report summary contains the key findings and policy recommendations from the main report The unfair divide: Disadvantage faced by young people who are homeless.
A breakdown of The unfair divide: Disadvantage faced by young people who are homeless findings by gender and state.
This is another report that has been produced as a result of an ongoing partnership between Mission Australia and Orygen. The purpose of this report is to better understand the cohort of young people who experience extreme weather events and the impact these events have on their lives.
Each year, we ask young people aged 15 to 19 in Australia to share their challenges, concerns and experiences in Australia’s largest annual survey of young people. The report details findings from 19,501 responses to the Youth Survey 2023. Young people identified concerns relating to the environment, equity and discrimination, the economy and financial matters and mental health.
