Voices of the Vulnerable: Insights and concerns from young clients accessing our services

This is Mission Australia’s fourth youth homelessness report. The report uses 2021 Youth Survey data to understand the experiences of young people in Australia who were homeless for the first time during the COVID-19 period. It looks at the prevalence of first-time youth homelessness during that time, explores the risk factors for first-time youth homelessness in this group and provides an overview of their mental health and housing situation.

Mission Australia’s Young Voices of the Pandemic reports on the free-text responses provided by young people in the 2020 Youth Survey in answer to the question ‘In the past year, what is the biggest issue that you have been dealing with?
