This summary booklet includes infographic summaries of the Youth Survey Report 2022. Young people identified concerns relating to the environment, equity and discrimination and mental health. Young people also voiced the importance of asking friends, family and health professionals for support, the need for learning strategies to reduce stress and more emphasis on mental health and wellbeing at school.
A breakdown of the Youth Survey 2022 findings for each state and territory can be found here. Each state/territory sub-report includes a summary of key findings presented as an infographic summary as well as data tables.
This is Mission Australia’s fourth youth homelessness report. The report uses 2021 Youth Survey data to understand the experiences of young people in Australia who were homeless for the first time during the COVID-19 period. It looks at the prevalence of first-time youth homelessness during that time, explores the risk factors for first-time youth homelessness in this group and provides an overview of their mental health and housing situation.
This booklet contains the key findings, policy and practice recommendations from the report Without a home: First-time youth homelessness in the COVID-19 period.
This is the first report that has been produced as a result of an important partnership between Mission Australia and Orygen. The report looks into the types of impact experienced by young people during the pandemic, and the particular groups of young people who have faced more challenges. The report also details how the experience of different and multiple impacts relate to increases in stress, loneliness, and psychological distress, as well as decreases in feelings of control, happiness and mental health and wellbeing.
