The Western Sydney Homelessness Outreach Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Service (HOPARRS) provides case management support to men and women over 21 years of age (and families) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the local Government areas of Blacktown, Parramatta & Auburn (known as Cumberland district). HOPARRS helps rough sleepers, people with mental health issues, people leaving custody, and people with a disability and has a strong focus on supporting Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Who we assist

Western Sydney Homelessness Outreach Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Service supports people over the age of 21 years and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This includes rough sleepers, people with mental health issues, people leaving custody, and people with a disability. We have a strong focus on Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Eligibility criteria

Clients aged 21 years or older who are at risk of, or experiencing homelessness within the Parramatta (including the new Cumberland district), Blacktown LGA's and the Hills District.

Referral process

Self referral, referrals from social and community housing providers, real estates, NGO's and internal referrals from Mission Australia services, Centrelink and hospitals.
