YouthBeat provides outreach support with young people 18yrs and under, present in the Perth inner city and Northbridge area, including the youth stall at Forrest Chase on Monday and Wednesdays between 3pm to 5.30pm.
YouthBeat provides a supportive place for young people to wait, while arranging their return to safe accommodation on Friday and Saturday nights. All young people engaged through the service are offered case management support for up to 12 months.
We work collaboratively with the WA Police, Department of Communities Crisis Care Unit and the Nyoongar Outreach Service on Friday and Saturday nights between 9pm to 5am.
Who we assist
Young people under the age of 18 years in the Perth inner city areas experiencing risk factors impacting their lives.
Eligibility criteria
Young people present in the Perth inner city areas looking for support to achieve their goals including; connection to education, their local community and other support services.
Referral process
Referrals are through the Youth at Risk Strategy.
