The Aherlkeme Development Centre in Alice Springs supports Territorians who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and who have difficulty in accessing and maintaining and securing a tenancy. An outreach service element sits within Aherlkeme, supporting public housing tenants who are struggling to sustain their tenancies due to debt, antisocial behaviour, or property damage. Tailored and individualised case management helps clients of the service to identify and address the issues that are placing their tenancies at risk. Support is integrated, holistic and culturally safe.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for this service clients must be public housing tenants at risk of eviction or tenancy failure.

Referral process

Clients must be referred through Territory Housing (Dept. of Housing, Local Government and Regional Services.)
