Challenges in life can overcome us and we can lose hope in difficult times. Reflecting on Christ’s love for us and his victory at the cross reminds us that He is our hope and ever-present help in trouble.

Join us in reflection and prayer this Easter as we thank Jesus for his eternal sacrifice.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. - 1 Peter 1:3

God of hope, my heart is heavy and filled with sadness. I spend so much time thinking and worrying about the challenges in my life. Help me to put my hope in you when I feel overwhelmed or in despair. Help lead my thoughts and my actions, can you help direct my steps. Amen.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8

Thank you for sending Jesus to save me from my sins. Thank you for your reaching out to me, even when I did not know you. Help me follow your ways and show others the love that you have shown to me. Amen.

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ Luke 24:6 – 7

How can we ever repay You for dying on the cross for us? Thank you for paying the debt for my life. You have erased my sins and called me Your own, allowing me to live a life of hope and freedom. Help me live as a child of God. Amen.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Draw my thoughts upward to You every minute of every day, but especially this Easter. I'm sorry for the times I get so busy that I fail to remember the incredible love You gave to me. Help me control my thoughts so they don’t sink my faith or joy in You. Amen.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”- Matthew 28:5

In a world that of surprises and unexpected events, thank you for your faithfulness. Help me put my trust in your promises when I am confused or discouraged. Your hope fills me with awe and wonder, and I pray I can reflect this each day. Amen.
